None of the Ford Transit models have a plug in harness, like what the # 3034-P is designed to fit. The installation of an electric brake controller requires using the included pig tail to hard wire into the van's wiring.
If your Transit is not wired for a brake controller you can use # ETBC7 to install everything you'll need, including a 7-way trailer connector. Although it sounds like you may already be set up. For a brake controller I suggest the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 because of... view full answer...
The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers - Rear Axle # AL88213 is my recommendation. This is a popular option with our customers, providing the suspension enhancement you need with a smoother ride than the Timbren and other rubber spring solutions alone. The ability to adjust when towing is another advantage of these springs over the alternatives. Given this van is not only your transportation but part of your livelihood, comfortable use will... view full answer...
I checked your order notes and you ordered the kit part # T4843300. For bearings you would then want the part # L68149 and # L44649 for each hub and then for the seal you would need the part # RG06-050. view full answer...
The Blue Ox Apollo Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount part # BX7470 is one heavy duty tow bar that is for sure. It is rated to haul vehicles up to 15,000 lbs. It also includes the safety chains you will need and has been designed to work on the Blue Ox base plate currently equipped. Of course this is designed for 2.5" hitches.
For your application use the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar part # BX7420 this will work in the 2" hitch and has a 10,000 lb. capacity. It includes the safety chains and will attach... view full answer...
We have a Roadmaster base plate kit that fits your 2021 Ford Transit T250 with the part # RM89FR but Blue Ox does not have a fit for your vehicle.
In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon All Terain, # RM-522. This has non-binding arms which makes the setup very easy to connect/disconnect.
For lighting/safety cables, locks, and... view full answer...

I may have an option for you, but we do not have a custom fit trailer hitch receiver confirmed to fit your 2016 Ford T250 cab and chassis.
The only option would be to have a universal hitch like the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch # 15903 fit to your frame and welded to the frame of your T250. The # 15903 fits frames that are 18" - 60.88" wide so you will need to measure your frame to verify it falls within this range. This hitch has a 1500lb tongue weight rating, and 15000lb... view full answer...
Thank you for all of the information! The wiring that I recommend to install on your 2022 Ford Transit T250 is the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter # 22114. This is a custom fit wiring kit that plugs into the tail lights on your vehicle and then provides the rest of the wiring you need for a fully-functional 7-Way and brake controller harness. Since you may need to a 4-Way down the road I recommend swapping out the 7-Way connector with the Hopkins... view full answer...

We had the chance to install the very popular Prodigy P3 brake controller part # 90195 on a 2020 Ford Transit T250 which I attached an install video for that will walk you through the entire process. The P3 is one of the best controllers due to how well it works, how reliable it is, and it's full screen display that uses complete words instead of two digit codes like other controllers have.
There isn't a port or connector on your vehicle for install of a brake controller but there is wiring... view full answer...
To install a brake controller in your 2018 Ford Transit T250 that does not have any trailer wiring at all you would need to start with a 4-way connector like the # 118643 which installs easily by plugging inline with the taillight connectors. Then to convert it to a 7-way and install a brake controller you'd want the # ETBC7 which covers that and also comes with everything needed to wire in a brake controller like our really popular and great performing P2 part # 90885. There are a lot... view full answer...
For your 2019 Ford Transit T250 we have the Curt kit part # C56327 as a confirmed fit which I attached an install video for on this page. Then for a hitch we have the etrailer part # e98842 which I attached an install video for as well. view full answer...
Since the vehicle taillights still work that means the connectors are fully seated. Most likely the problem is the converter box of the kit then.
What you will want to do is test the wires going into the box of the converter box for voltage with a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 to see if there is voltage going into the box when the taillight functions of your vehicle are applied, and then test the output side of the box to see if the current is making it through the converter. If not... view full answer...
Your 2017 Ford Transit T250 will have a round connector at the rear of it that the part # HM40975 would connect directly to since your vehicle has the tow package.
If it didn't have the tow package, you'd need to start with a 4-way like part # C56327.
Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.
If you do have trailer brakes, you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This... view full answer...
The difference will be the distance past the rear axle to the rear of the vehicle. The EXT will be much longer looking than a standard van and the NON-EXT will have what looks like a normal distance behind the rear axle. I'd post pics off of Google to show you difference but we can't do that without getting in trouble so you'd have to just look at the rear of your vehicle and you'll "know".

The bumper on the Transit T150 in the video for trailer hitch # C13193 does have a unique design with that cutout in the center. The regular bumper doesn't have that cut out but the hitch is still the same, even for the T250. You will just need to use accessories that clear the rear bumper so it isn't going to be a problem for you at all.
For towing you could use an extra long ball mount, like those I have linked, or even an extra long ball mount, # BM20, which measures 13-1/4 inches from... view full answer...

The Ford Transit if equipped with the factory tow package would have came with both a trailer hitch and trailer connector and they would both be located directly under the rear bumper so odds are you do not have either because they are not hard to locate. The factory tow package was also not a very common option but I can provide you with everything to add this on your own at a fraction of the price.

Based on your description it sounds like if the trailer is not hitched to the truck but the wiring harness is plugged in the passenger side trailer tail lights do not work, but if the trailer is hitch to the truck that the lights starting working.
If this is the case then there is a ground issue on either the truck or trailer. I recommend starting with the main trailer ground on the tongue of the trailer making sure it is securely connected to clean corrosion free metal.
If those grounds... view full answer...
